William Hockinson

William L. Hockinson, 100, of Kailua-Kona, died March 3, 2022 at his residence at Regency at Hualalai. Born June 1, 1921, in Vancouver, Washington, he was a mechanical engineer for Honeywell, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and part of Camp Tarawa in Waimea.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by daughters, Julie (Tim) Maloney of Portland, Oregon, and Joy Green of Kailua-Kona; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one niece.

Tomiko Ishikawa

Tomiko Dorothy Ishikawa, 96, of Hilo, died April 29, 2022, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born April 18, 1926, in Honokaa, she was retired from the former Woolworth’s and was a member of Hui Okinawa and Hilo Kamana Center Gateball Club.

Private services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by children, Cynthia (Charles) Poe, Carlyn (John) McLawhorn, Aileen Ishikawa, Miles Ishikawa, Rochelle Ishikawa, Dawn (Ty) Nihipali, Dayle (Blendalynn) Ishikawa; siblings, Vivian Pacleb, Toshi Matsuda; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean Rosile

Dean Kevin Michael Rosile, 58, of Kailua-Kona died April 22, 2022 in Kailua-Kona. Born Aug. 5, 1963, in Pasadena, California, he was a surfer, flooring company representative and manager for a food distribution company.

Private services will be held.

He is survived by wife, Jennifer; son, Frank Almond of San Diego; brothers, Rodney Rosile of Mexico and Greg (Lisa) Rosile of Waikoloa; and other family and friends.
